Green Chutney | Chutney for chaats | chaat recipes

Green Chutney is one of the very important chutney we use for any street chats. The main taste and flavor to the street food chaats are from this green / hasiru chutney. Ingredients:

  • 1 cup or big handful of coriander leaves
  • ½ cup mint leaves
  • small piece of ginger
  • 2 small garlic cloves
  • 3 or more green chillies
  • ½ tbsp fried gram/hurigadale/putani
  • ¼ tsp jeera / cumin seeds
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp water
  • juice of half lemon

Method:

  1. Grind all the ingredients except lemon juice to a fine paste
  2. if the mixer jar is small, first grind the mint and coriander leaves and then add other ingredients
  3. squeeze the lemon juice and mix it. Green chutney is ready for chaats.
