wish you all happy ganesha festival . To celebrate the festival we will prepare the pancha kajjaya to offer to god ganesha!

Pancha Kajjaya is a traditional South Indian sweet prepared during festivals and special occasions, especially in Karnataka. This delightful offering is made using roasted kadle bele (chana dal), which is roasted, and finely powdered and mixed with melted jaggery. Dried coconut adds a rich texture and flavor, while black sesame seeds bring a subtle nuttiness. A touch of ghee binds all the ingredients together, creating a fragrant and delicious treat that holds a special place in ganesha festival
GANESHA FESTIVAL RECIPES

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup kadale bele/chana dal
  • 1/4 cup grated dried coconut
  • 1/4 cup jaggery powder
  • 1.5 tbsp ghee
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds/ellu

Method:

  1. Dry roast the chana dal on low heat until it turns golden brown. Transfer it to a plate.
  2. Next, dry roast the sesame seeds and transfer them to a different plate.
  3. Gently warm the coconut and transfer it to the plate with the roasted sesame seeds.
  4. Powder the roasted chana dal and set it aside.
  5. In a pan, heat the ghee on low heat. Add the jaggery, mix well, and let it melt.
  6. Once the jaggery has melted, add the powdered chana dal and the other ingredients. Mix everything thoroughly, then turn off the heat.
  7. Continue stirring for a few more seconds after turning off the heat.
  8. After it becomes warm, you can mix it thoroughly with hand,
  9. Offer it to god and then Enjoy!
