Sore throat / gantalu novu is a common ailment we suffer. Here is the simple yet effective home remedy for sore throat. Remedies are with available ingredients at home like sandal wood, honey, ginger..

Ingredients:

Remedy 1:

  • 1/4 tsp sandalwood paste
  • 1/4 tsp jaggery

Remedy 2:

  • ginger (around 1/4 to 1/2 inch)
  • 1 tsp lemon/lime juice
  • 1 tsp honey
  • little jaggery
  • around 8 black pepper
  • 2 cups of water

Method:

Remedy 1:

  1. Mix both ingredients and eat this paste 2 to 3 times a day
  2. For kids reduce the quantity and give.

Remedy 2:

  1. Crush the pepper and then ginger.
  2. Boil the water and add this crushed ginger, pepper, and jaggery. Boil it on low heat for 10 minutes
  3. Turn off the heat and strain this to a cup.
  4. take 1/2 cup of kashaya, add 1/2 tsp lemon juice and 1/2 tsp honey. Mix it and drink it hot 2 to 3 times a day
  5. Drink hot kashaya.
  6. For kids, depending on the age give – 2 to 4 tbsp of kashaya
