Avocado Kheer | Butter fruit Payasa | festival recipes

Avocado kheer Butter fruit payasa is very delicious, easy to make Payasa. Payasa recipes are very much needed during the festival seasons in India. Season starts from Bimana amavasye to deepavaLi includes the grand 9 day navarathri festivals. So keep all these payasa recipes ready and offer to god everyday with variety payasa.

Ingredients for making avocado kheer butter fruit payasa:

  • 2 butter fruits/ avocado / benne haNNu
  • 3/4 cup fresh grated coconut
  • 2 cardamoms
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 6 ALMONDS
  • 6 cashews
  • Few raisins
  • 1 cup water
  • around 1/2 cup powdered jaggery
  • 1 cup milk

Method:

  1. Wash and cut the butter fruit into halves and then remove the seeds, scoop the fruit and cut into small pieces
  2. Grind coconut, cardamom along with 1/4 cup water to a fine paste
  3. Transfer the ground coconut to a pan
  4. Melt the jaggery with 1/4 cup of water
  5. Turn off the heat and strain this melted jaggery to the coconut paste
  6. Mix it well and let it boil on medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes
  7. Reduce the heat and add the cut avocados , mix it well, let it boil for 3 to 4 minutes. stir it in between. Then turn off the heat and let it warm before adding the milk
  8. Heat the ghee in a ladle on medium low heat, once hot add cut almonds, after few seconds add cashew pieces, then add raisins, once it puffs up. turn off the heat
  9. Add the fried nuts and raisins to the payasa and mix it well. Payasa is ready.
