Kodubale is one of the popular snacks in Karnataka . Normally it is a deep fried snack, but we tried to create the same snack using an air fryer. We loved the taste of this kodubale. Hope you will try and like this guilt free kodubale as much as we do.

Any crunchy crispy snacks like Khara sev, chakli, mixture…are addictive and tasty as well.
Usually these are deep fried snacks. I am trying our deep fried snacks using the air fryer and I am liking it. To give you a fair review – no doubt deep fried snacks taste better, but air fried snacks are guilt free, tasty and with less or no oil.

Ingredients for making Air fryer kodubale :
- ½ cup chiroti rave / fine sooji / sanna rave/fine semolina
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1/4 tsp jeerige menasina pudi (optional)
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp finely chopped curry leaves
- pinch of hing
- pinch of hing
- pinch of hing
- 3/4 tsp rock salt or salt to taste
- 1 cup water
Method:
- Boil the water, add hing, salt and then rava, mix it
- After a minute add other indredients.mix it and turn off the heat
- cover it and keep it aside
- Once the dough is warm enough to handle, grease the palm, mix it and knead it well
- until you get this consistency,
- Take a small portion of the dough and prepare the kodbale as shown here. Join the ends
- If it is sticking to the hand then oil your hand and make the kodbale. Prepare a few and keep it ready.
- Place one by one next to each other in oxy fryer as shown, don’t keep one above the other
- Place the airfryer pan back, set the temperature to 200ºC or 290ºF and set the timer to 25 minutes
- Check after 15 minutes,
- Flip the kodbale. Keep the pan back and let it fry for the remaining 10 minutes. and let it cook on the other side.
- Check after 10 minutes – kodbales are fried well and it will be crispy. If not keep for few more minutes until it is done,
- Repeat the same procedure with the remaining dough.
- We can make around 30 kodbales.
